I’d like to start off with introducing my character.
Selvaria - A Female Elf who started out as a Strider and now has progressed onto a Ranger.
(Fun fact - She was named after Selvaria Bles. I wanted to model her after the amazing character from Valkyria Chronicles as well, but decided it would not be ideal given the setting of the game)
Whitebeard (Pawn) - Old grizzled fighter pawn who has dedicated his life to serve Selvaria. Off to a slow start, he has slowly mastered the arts of a warrior. Calm and confident, he charges into all battles devastating foes with his Longsword.
(Another pointless “fun” fact - I intended to model him after Ser Barristan Selmy (ASOIAF Fame). But 5 minutes into customization i decided to create my own model just for the sake of story purposes. He is still named after him though. Spoiler?)
Now picture time :D - You’ll see Selvaria in front, and to the right the tall warrior is Whitebeard.
Guest starring is Stemon’s (gameraddictions.tumblr.com) pawn TripWire. The ranger to the left.

From the five hours i have played, one fact that has left me a tad disappointed is the story. I mean it’s set off really nicely with the Dragon devouring your heart. But all the quests so far have been pretty lackluster. The one i had high hopes was going to the witchwood. I was let down in the end, they could have given her (The one at the end) more lines. Add a bit more story. (Maybe later? :P)
I can get past the story though, given i really tend to add my own story to my characters and their endeavors.
The combat is fantastic though, bosses especially :P. Some of the most engrossing boss battles i’ve ever played. In general as well you learn not to blindly spam attacks.
On top of that you can vary your classes (vocation in game) at any time, choose from different abilities and build up your pawn as well. Combine that with hiring 2 extra pawns online and you have an incredible amount of variety.
The map itself is quite fun to go through, although enemies tend to spawn in the same areas. This so far has not bothered me yet, but with time it may.
The visual presentation is decent, although the soundtrack is fantastic. Even the jpop menu music has grown one me. Here, i’ll link it for you guys.

All in all, really enjoying this game. Recommend to RPG fans out there.
I’ll have more posts coming about the game as i intend to keep you guys updated (I’ll deliver this time, promise. Pinky Promise!!!).
In the meantime i would love to hear your thoughts. So let me know :).
